Mirwaiz should realize, letting 5 months shutdown go as waste, not an option for Kashmiris. By Hem Raj Jain
Sub:- (i)- Not only India even Pakistan does not want Kashmir solution (ii)- Unless Kashmiris take the matter in their hands nothing will be achieved (iii)- Letting 5 months shutdown go as waste will be disaster for Kashmiris
After he was allowed to offer Friday prayers after five months at historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, where he addressed the people Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman, Maulvi Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement, as reported in media, said that – “[The ‘Heart of Asia Conference’ (HOAC) at Amritsar on Sunday provides another opportunity to the Indian and Pakistan leadership to restore confidence and re-initiate the process of dialogue and reconciliation and move ahead on the resolution of Kashmir dispute. He urged government of India to give up its stubbornness and initiate meaningful and result-oriented steps for the resolution of all pending issues between the two countries including the all-important Kashmir dispute. He said in absence of any accountability, the unbridled and trigger-happy forces and police were working on a plan to carry out the genocide of Kashmiris by killing them under one pretext or the other]”.
God only knows when Mirwaiz will understand that nobody is interested in solving Kashmir problem? What happened at HOAC at Amritsar should be an eye opener for Kashmiris. Except giving lip service to the cause of Kashmir nothing worth mentioning happened at Amritsar for the benefit of Kashmiris. Even many members of ‘Organization of Islamic Cooperation’ (OIC) who have been shedding crocodile tears over the suffering of Kashmiris during 5 months of on-going shutdown in Kashmir and other Muslim countries who are members of HOA did nothing at Amritsar which can be construed even remotely as a helping hand in solving Kashmir problem.
The delusion of Kashmiris is due to simple reason that they have failed to understand that even Pakistan is not interested in solving Kashmir problem which is evident from the fact that Pakistan can easily precipitate Kashmir issue by bringing Indo-Pak region on the brink of nuclear war and which will constrain world-community (especially global power) to pressurize India and Pakistan to arrive at Kashmir solution. But Pakistan is not doing it.
On the contrary like military of India (deployed in J&K in hundreds of thousand with AFSPA, SPA etc for its protection and is engaging in politics of J&K as said by Veteran Major General Afsir Karim too last week on a TV debate) which has developed vested interest in unresolved Kashmir problem, the military of Pakistan has also developed vested interest in unresolved Kashmir problem (which is giving all type of tremendous power to military in Pakistan). Moreover governments of both India and Pakistan are under strangulating influence of their military (in Pakistan crudely and brazenly whereas in India subtly).
Moreover after five months of Kashmir shutdown after killing of Hizbul Commander Burhan Wani on July, 8 ~ 100 Kashmiris mostly youth have lost lives ~ 300 eyes of Kashmiri youth injured and ~ 12,000 Kashmiri youth injured by pellet guns. Hence in desperation the disenchanted and disillusioned Kashmiri youth (from Kashmir-cause-supporters the Separatists from Indian side and Government, military including ISI, Jihadi leaders from Pakistani side) are highly likely to invite blood thirsty ISIS in Kashmir as is being publicly said by prominent Kashmiri leaders too.
Therefore Mirwaiz and Kashmiris should understand that letting 5 months shutdown go as waste is not an option for Kashmiris rather will be disaster for Kashmiris and unless Kashmiris take the matter in their hands (without depending on others) nothing will be achieved. For this to happen Mirwaiz should:-
(i)- Being a Maulvi take the strength and help from Islam as mentioned at https://kashmirobserver.net/2016/letters/time-mirwaiz-act-6846
(ii)- Patronize a political party like ‘United India Party’ which is to be launched from Srinagar (J&K) as is mentioned at http://www.alwihdainfo.com/J-K-resolve-to-NOW-control-politics-of-India-and-Pakistan-instead-of-present-vice-versa_a44096.html and is waiting for at least 100 ‘Founding-Members’ preferably from Kashmir valley (who and many more Mirwaiz can easily provide).
