Bhim Singh visits border areas in R.S. Pura sector
New Delhi: February 9, 2017. (PCP) Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of J&k National Panthers Party with his NPP leaders team visited International Border in Jammu Sector facing Sialkote sector of Pakistan. The local activists of the border area led by Shri Ashok Randhawa, State Secretary-JKNPP received Prof.Bhim Singh and submitted a memorandum seeking intervention of the Union Home Ministry, Govt. of India in connection with the prevailing situation and circumstances created on the Indian side of the International Border by the utter failure of the State Govt. which is being manned by PDP and BJP in J&K.
Prof.Bhim Singh was accompanied by State leaders of the Panthers Party including Ms. Anita Thakur, General Secretary, Mr. Jagdev Singh, Coordination Secretary, Mr. Ashok Randhawa, State Secretary, Sr. Bhagwan Singh, Sarpanch Sr. Jaswant Singh of local panchayat (Flora) and several others.
The local representatives of political parties, the panchayats, mostly from the rural block demanded restoration of JAK FED which was dissolved 20 years back causing the great loss to the farmers fraternity of entire Jammu Pradesh. The farmers’ representatives of R.S.Pura border sector in their appeal to the Governor of J&K demanded that JAK FED should be restored so that the crop/paddy of the farmers could be sold at appropriate rates. At present the crop/paddy of the farmers is being purchased by private millers who have turned masters of the fate of the farmers and have been literally depriving the farmers of the genuine price which was maintained with care and control by JAK FED.
Prof.Bhim Singh made a strong appeal to the Governor of J&K, Mr. N.N. Vohra for his direct intervention to ensure that farmers of Jammu Pradesh are not put to humiliation and distress as has been the case for the past 20 years in the absence of JAK FED.
Prof.Bhim Singh also appealed the Governor Shri N.N. Vohra for his immediate intervention so that the farmers community in Jammu Pradesh and particularly in furtile agriculture belt of R.S. Pura sector is not subjected to discrimination and humiliation by the Govt. of J&K only because the leaders and bureaucrats are on the pay roll of rice millers in this sector.
Prof.Bhim Singh questioned that the BJP led government of Mehbooba Mufti to justify this kind discrimination against the farmers of Jammu Pradesh where this situation has not been created in the province of Kashmir where JAK FED is still on the oxygen of the government. Prof.Bhim Singh also demanded the immediate reasonable settlement of the refugees from Pakistan and POK who have been subjected to discrimination and humiliation by the Govt. of J&K ever since J&K was kept out of list of national integration on 26th January, 1950 by keeping the Monarchy alive. Prof.Bhim Singh said that the Panthers Party shall serve notice to the Govt. of J&K and if these Cooperative Societies in Jammu region are not restored the Panthers Party shall knock the doors of Supreme Court of India for restoration of Cooperative Societies in Jammu province which has been facing discrimination of RSS-BJP combined government in J&K.
