Mardan: April 13, 2017. (PCP) A student of Journalism in Khan Abdul Wali Khan University in city of Mardan in KP province of Pakistan was attacked by a group of students in university compound here today on his posts on Facebook which were termed as blasphemous by attackers. The alleged blasphemer student named as Mishal Khan was doing degree of Journalism and regularly updating his Facebook Page on different social and religious issues. When Mishal became unconscious after beating by group of students then he was shot by attackers and murdered at spot in front of hundreds of students. Five other students were also injured by gunshots who wanted to rescue Mishal Khan from attackers. The contingent of police was called to control angry student and university was closed for indefinite period by administration of Khan Abdul Wali Khan University. It is not confirmed up to filing of this story that from which sect of Islam Mishal Khan belonged but only it was declared that he hailed from city of Swabi. There have been extrajudicial killings of Christians and Ahmadiyya community on accusations of blasphemy but now it seems that Muslims have been under target now.
