Lahore: July 1, 2017. (PCP) Rwadari Tehreek and Civil Society Network in collaboration with other civil society organizations held a protest at the Mall Road of Lahore on July 1, 2017 in solidarity with the victims of terrorism at Parachinar, Quetta, Karachi and other incidents of terrorism and to demand the seriousness of the federal, and the provincial government and other stake-holders in countering extremism and terrorism.
The peaceful protestors who belonged to different religions, and walks of life chanted slogans against hate speech, religious intolerance, extremism and terrorism in the name of religion and pledged to continue to raise their voice until the stern and effective actions are not taken according to the National Action Plan to stop this menace.

Mr. Samson Salamat demanded that “immediately a high-level stake-holders meeting should be called upon to evaluate the implementation of the National Action Plan and the findings of the meeting should shared and discussed with the Senate, National and Provincial Assemblies and be made public. The nation should be informed about the elements which are a hindrance in the Implementation of National Action Plan and why the banned terrorist outfits are still operating and are being able to do their terrorist activities”.
Mr. Samson Salamat further demanded that an indiscriminate action against the terrorists, their masterminds, facilitators, financiers and their supporters who are killing the innocent people and spreading terror to weaken our nation and the country.
Mr. Abdullah Malik, President of Civil Society Network said that overall the whole country but Parachinar has been under attack continuously but it is very unfortunate and is negligence of the Government and the responsible institution who has not been able to take concrete measures and as a result innocent citizens are becoming target of the terrorists.
