Lahore: January 5, 2018. (PCP) It was a remarkable moment to see Religious Leaders of different Religion Celebrating Christmas together at a Cake Cutting Ceremony organized by National Commission for Interreligious Dialogue and Ecumenism (Catholic Bishops Conference Pakistan). The ceremony was hosted by a Muslim businessman, Anwar-ullha-khan in his house at Lahore.
His Grace Archbishop Sebastian Francis Shaw OFM was the Chief guest of this ceremony whereas among the other participants of this Interfaith Christmas Celebration were Fr. Francis Nadeem, Hafiz Sayed Ashiq Hussain, Moulana Muhammad Asim Makhdoom, Dr. Badar Munir, Sardar Kalyan Singh, Anwar-ula-Khan, Dr. Kanwal Feroze, Pir S.A. Jaffery, Moulana Arif Chishti and Mr. Habib-ullah Bhatti (advisor to Chief Minister Punjab)
The Muslim scholars presented flowers and cake to the Christians leaders. His Grace Archbishop Sebastian Francis Shaw OFM, while expressing his views, appreciated this gesture of brotherhood and generosity. Fr. Francis Nadeem also thanked the Muslim scholars and religious leaders for sharing the happiness of Christmas. He too thanked Mr. Anwar-ullah-khan for hosting this celebration.
