Dear Mr. Bhatti,
Thanks for posting my views on Pope’s call for fasting on last Friday of Ramadan. The Protestant Churches in general and the United Presbyterian Church of Pakistan in particular, view the call by the Pope as out right "hypocrisy, divergence from Christian faith and compromising on the Truth of Christianity". I am sure that the "Roman Religion" has drifted away from Christianity long time back.
Here in Pakistan we see so much idolatry in "Roman Religion". There re "Gates to Salvation" built by the self proclaimed "Grace Holders", "Mary’s Mounds" (Paharhi) Idol worship, Statue Worship, and what not. Common Muslim holds the opinion that Christianity as projected by the "Romans" is nothing but Idol worship. We do not want to be identified with "Romans". We worship "One True Triune God" and that is what the Holy Bible teaches us. May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you on the happy occasion of the Day of remembrance of the Advent of our Lord Jesus Christ!
