Karachi: August 24, 2010. (PCP) The Pakistani Christians who were victim of catastrophic flood in Southern Punjab are being discriminated in receiving any aid

from Muslim flood relief organization or Government relief fund managed by district administrations after 11 days lying under open sky in heat of summer. According to BoseNews, about 15,0000 to 2,00000 Christians were displaced due to flooding from District Layyiah, Muzafargarh and Dera Ghazi Khan when flood destroyed every asset in Southern Punjab more than a week ago. The reports received by Pakistan Christian Post PCP from Sindh, more than 6,00000 Hindus and Christians have been effected by flood in Sindh province of Pakistan up till filing this story. The Christian victims of devastating flood in Southern Punjab are still waiting from any aid and selling their valuables to buy expensive food while Muslim flood aid organization are preferring Muslims. The Christian flood victims are denied registration by district administration due to which they can not receive tents, food and medical assistance. The Southern Punjab is hot bed of banned terrorist Muslim organizations which declare Christians to be Infidels and administration with fear of these radical Muslim elements not permitting Christians to keep in tents areas allocated for Muslim flood victims. The Muslim extremists organizations which are banned by Pakistan government and in terrorist list of US administration are helping flood victims with new names registered under social welfare act of government of Pakistan. The Islamic religious leaders in Southern Punjab issued Islamic decree from Bahawalpur in 1990, that “That Muslims can marry Christian women by any means and convert them to Islam but it is un-Islamic to eat with Christian or share utensils with them” which put this area of Punjab province under worst hate on religion grounds. After that “Fatwah” Christians in Southern Punjab were barred to eat in any restaurant or roadside vendor owned by Muslims. The Christians organizations and individuals bought tenders of agricultural land in 18th and 19th century and established Christian villages. In 1958, when Colonies in Thall desert in Southern Punjab were auctioned by government of Pakistan, more Christians bought agricultural land and more than one million Christians farmers settled in distinct Sahiwal, Khanewal, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Rahimyar Khan, Sadiq Abad, Bahawalpur, Layyiah, Muzafargarg, Jhang and Dera Ghazi Khan which fall in Southern Punjab area. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC said in a statement issued here today from Central Secretariat of PCC that hate on religion is preventing reaching aid to Christian flood victims in Southern Punjab. “I appeal to organizations and countries which are giving aid to government of Pakistan for flood victims to allocate separate or special funds for Christian flood victims and transfer it to Caritas Pakistan or Bishops Conference of Pakistan for food, tents and medical facilities” said Nazir Bhatti
