A team of very dedicated people in San Francisco area worked tirelessly for over a year to create a comprehensive report that documents the link between hate crimes (violence against religious minorities and others such as Christians and Dalits in India) and the US based funding agencies. The report is made public yesterday in India at a Press Conference. The report is also simultaneously made available on the web. You could read the full report on the web at:
More research is underway to unearth other RSS affiliated organizations that raise money through business corporations and other foundations in the US as non-profit groups. Some of their affiliates such as Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America are even trying year after year to get NGO status with the United Nations to receive UN development funds. We advise the Indian American community and the corporate world to use utmost care while donating funds to organizations that claim to be engaged in social work but infact teach Hate to children in their schools; and bankroll large-scale unrest by inducing religious violence.
We advice the US Internal Revenue Service to act on the report and blacklist the agencies mentioned by withdrawing the tax-exempt status.
We urge the United Nations to blacklist Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP or World Hindu Organizations) because of its RSS affiliation and permanently deny its efforts to secure the NGO status with UN.
We urge the USCIRF to inform various government agencies about their conclusion from this report.
We urge the US Congress to take note of the report and launch an investigation of its own, to determine the activities of such organizations in the US.
We urge the White House to realize the nexus between the Hindutva funds, the relationship between RSS & BJP and its ulterior political agenda in the US and India to avoid potential embarrassment.
We urge US Business Corporations and Foundations to avoid funding Hindutva affiliated groups along with other extremist groups.
