Bishop of Litchfield Keith Sten urged to extend apology to Christians around world. Nasir Saeed.
20 Dec 2002
London. December18. The coordinator of Centre for Legal Aid, Assistance and Settlement, CLAAS - UK, Mr. Nasir Saeed has condemned on the statement given by one the Bishop's, who in his statement has called "Christmas as an ordinary everyday life inci
Mr. Saeed expressed his views and said that the truth is this that Christmas is not an everyday life incident but it is a lifetime experience of joy and peace as on this day Jesus Christ was born as The Saviour of the world. The three wise men were not part of any kind of conspiracy made by Herod to kill Jesus in fact after having been warned in a dream by an angel not to go back to Herod, they returned to their county by another route.
Mr. Saeed also said that it might be possible that shepherd's use to live on offerings but we have to see that they were the first one given the news of the birth of Jesus not any Bishop. He also added that Christmas carols are sung to glorify the name of God Almighty and even at the birth of Christ a great company of the heavenly host appeared to the shepherds, praising God.
Mr. Saeed also said that Bishop of Litchfield Keith Sten has proved his negligence about the truth told in the Bible about Christ and His death by saying that Jesus Christ was killed as a criminal. Whereas the truth is that neither of the courts of that time and in fact even the emperor of that time couldn't find Him punishable for any sin. And then what was His sin?
But the Bishops of that time (Pharisee's, Teacher's of the Law) whose teachings and powers were challenged by Jesus demanded the then emperor to crucify Jesus just for the sake of their forged ego. Whereas the emperor himself said that he do not find Jesus to deserve death. If Jesus was guilty then why did the emperor asked those hypocrites that why shouldn't he release Jesus for them?
Mr. Saeed said that the statement made by the Bishop has hurt the religious feelings of Christians around the world and that he has committed blasphemy against Christ. He has tried to maul the truth about Christ and therefore he should repent and ask forgiveness from God and from Christians all around the world.
