The Way Forward for Pakistan. By Rabia Ather

Filled with sacrificed blood
Historical achievement of a fearless pack
Facing terrors of losing its concord
But still protecting foe’s back
Blessed with beauty
Realm promoting amity
Dwells in me the hard working souls
Often bothered by the rake-off cores
Stand up for me I am your need
The world knows you only due to me
Lost in making your own name
How could you forget me mate
I am your mother O beloveds
Don’t betray me I am own
Its time you stand erect
You are one nation one soul.
Fight for oneness
Fight for unity
It’s a plea unsung
Of a mourning Flag
Only I appreciate soldiers lacking soul.
Then you get a medal and called Pakistani force.
Dream of a poet, Need of a nation
Striving for existence, Calling for assistance
Help me, Love me, feel my worth
Be a Pakistani first just be a Pakistani…
Yes, that’s all Pakistan wants from us. At the time of its making Jinnah and his companions were working for the establishment of this holy land irrespective of their colour, creed and class; but now Pakistan is losing its unison. Pakistanis have lost their vision, the vision which was brought by Allama Iqbal, to be a true Muslim. The FATA, Khyber Pakhtoon Khuwah, the demand of making balochistan a separate state all these are the reasons of lack of unity among Pakistanis. We are fighting for our cast and domain. We are divided into sub-groups of Mahajir, Pathan, Sindhi, Punjabi, Shia, Sunni, Ahmadi etc Where is Pakistan among all these? Did our ancestors laid down their lives for riot? This internal war is weakening our national cohesion which is giving a gateway to our enemies to enter our territory and to wipe out Pakistanis with no trouble. In order to live a successful individual life we all need to work collectively. Lets just forget the name of our political party, the name of our state, the name of our ethnic group and our sect. Just remember one identity that WE ARE PAKISTANIS and WE HAVE TO WORK TOGETHER FOR IT’S SURVIVAL, FOR IT’S PROSPERITY, FOR IT’S DEVELOPMENT and FOR OUR INDEPENDENCE.
It is quite shameful to say but after Jinnah’s death Pakistan hasn’t got the perfect leader who could run the country efficiently. The leaders don’t seem serious for the country and it’s peoples’ development, needs, security and welfare. Independence of electing a leader and democracy are a kind of joke for the nation; here, the citizens are guilty. We are not sincere to ourselves than how can we expect someone else to be sincere with us. We don’t use our power of vote and then curse the government for not giving us relief. A nation’s strength lies in it’s individuals. We need to think individually for the collective progress and operative impression of Pakistan.
There’s not a single individual who has never witnessed a bribe or corruption scene in Pakistan. Everyone wants to be superior to others. Its apologetic but we are still slaves. We do whatever the world asks us to do. We don’t have our own methods of dealing our issues. Its time to create examples rather following others. Only We can be sincere to Pakistan others can only take our advantage and then make fun of us. We must say No to bribe corruption and slaving.
Who is not aware of Pakistan’s economic crisis. Though Pakistan is enriched with various natural resources like arable land, natural gas, substantial hydropower potential, coal, iron ore, copper, salt and limestone but unfortunately these are not being utilized for the prosperity of the country.

Balochistan has one of the world's largest copper deposits (and its matrix-associated residual gold) have been found at Reko Diq in the Chagai District of Balochistan. Reko Diq is a giant mining project in Chaghi. The main license (EL5) is held jointly by the Government of Balochistan (25%), Antofagasta Minerals (37.5%) and Barrick Gold (37.5%). The deposits at Reko Diq are hoped to be even bigger than those of Sarcheshmeh in Iran and Escondida in Chile (presently, the second and the third largest proven deposits of copper in the world). The percentage share of Pakistan, which is producing copper, is just 25%.
Pakistan’s share in the production of (Dimensional stones) DS is only 0.58% in contrast to the abundance of DS reserves. The marble reserves of Pakistan amount to ~29.023 billion tons of which more than 90% are located in the North West Frontier province (NWFP), particularly in the districts of Bunir, Mardan, Nowshera, Chitral and Swabi, and Mohmand, Bajaur and Khyber Agencies.
These were only two examples. We are so blessed but at a standstill we want others to get authority over us. We are lost in our personal satisfaction and needs who cares for the nation. One wants latest trendy dresses, car, a big house who cares if more than half of the nation doesn’t have enough food to fulfil its one meal’s hunger. Who cares if the nation is suffering in the Holy month of Ramadan for wheat and sugar. Who cares if the country exists or not.
Instead of being called Pakistani we are now globally known as terrorists. From last 9 years are struggling for our pride, fighting to remove the label of terrorist. Islam is considered to be the most dangerous religion in the world. Muslims are not even considered human these days. There are always some cruel intimates in a society but that doesn’t mean that the whole society is corrupt. Taliban have blemished the reputation of Muslim Ummah especially Pakistanis. The concept of Jihad is misunderstood by people. It is actually a holy war or striving in the way of Allah. It doesn’t mean to kill innocent people. It’s a war which can be against one’s own self i.e. Jihad an nafs (to fight against one’s own impulsive wishes).
The real meaning of Jihad is to save humanity and Islam. These Taliban are neither Muslims nor have any right to be called Pakistanis. A Muslim is one who cannot take one’s life as it is highly condemned in Islam.
We the Pakistanis ourselves are a victim of terrorism. It shows clearly that we are not terrorist but some other group is doing it to blight the aura of Pakistani Muslims. Pakistanis are neglected everywhere in the world. It seems that we are not human. All kind of nurturing opportunities are closed for us now. People avoid sharing that they are Pakistani because they won’t be able to survive in their desired unit.
The name or the identity of the triggerman is not important. If he can kill innocent people without blinking an eye, then he is a non-believer, not a believer.
Remember it always, just because we are Muslims doesn’t mean that ALLAH will mercy on us, to be a Muslim is not an easy task, we must be aware of the responsibilities of a Muslim. Take a look and seek where we are wrong? Why we have come to this situation? Why are we fighting among ourselves? We are brothers to each other than who is the one who formulated the concept of bias? Who gave the wrong concept of emancipation of women? Does a Muslim women need to wear half naked clothes? Does fashion means to shorten your trousers and throw your shawls? No that’s not fashion it’s an ignominy of Muslim women. Think critically, who are we following? Kufars like Abu Sufiyan or true Muslims exemplars like Hazrat Umar and Hazrat Ali?
We need to assess ourselves otherwise the time is near when the whole world will be against us and on that time ALLAH won’t help us because God helps those who help themselves.
Let’s make a resolution to ourselves today that we will take part in creating a good image of Islam and Pakistan. We will foster peace. We will work mutually with all our brothers to get back our lost dignity. We will judge a vogue before adopting it.
