Saint Paul, in his First Epistle to Corinthians writes, "We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honorable, but we are despised. Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are
Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day."(1. Corinthians Chapter 4 Verses 8-13) The Apostle has thus depicted the Christians of Third World countries especially Pakistan as we are branded by the churches in West. I write this article to share my very personal feelings with all who will read this article titled "Fools Vs Wise". I want to share that at this moment I am in state of shock, discouraged, agonized and surprised. I have seen many disappointments in my life but today I write in utter disappointment after receiving a threat of litigation against me and the Faith Theological Seminary Gujranwala. What did I do? I uncovered some people who started their religious carrier after getting their basic theological training from the Faith Theological Seminary Gujranwala Pakistan, and then fraudulently obtained higher and back dated degree of the same institution through the people of their own category, in matter of few months. The Faith Theological Seminary has a reputation of the only conservative and dependable Seminary in this part of the world. Our credibility has been challenged by some one who got his Bachelor of Divinity degree from us. Today this gentleman claims to be supper scholar a well known preacher and "faith healer". Latter he got his doctor of Ministry and MA degree from the same institution but to my horror, I failed to find his name and work in our record. At the same time an other dreadful reality was revealed that the gentleman obtained these degree from a former employee of our seminary by paying money to him without our knowledge. These degrees are "Fake and Illegal". When we asked an explanation to this gentleman, who tricked not only us but the entire world and now he is known to so many "Presidents, Prime Ministers Kings and Rulers in the world", his lawyer sent an unofficial notice to take us to court for the damages and the fee he has paid to the former employee. We were also told that our institution is of no value to him. He claimed to have higher degrees from well-reputed Seminaries and Universities in West. The notice reflected that we are illiterate, uneducated fools and that the gentleman has written a large number of books and is highly respected and reputed scholar. The whole day I have been wandering that why a person who lived in West and had chances to go to any "good" college, seminary or university choose our institution at first place? What I believe at that time he could not afford a college in his own country. Today with his healing tricks and "stage dramas" he has gathered a lot of wealth. Now we are "Fools" and he is "Wise". We are weak, but he is strong; he is honorable, but we are despised. We both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling place. We are persecuted, we suffer. We are defamed, he has a reputation. We are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day. While he is respected by "Presidents, Prime Ministers, Kings and Rulers of the world". He thinks that we are the only ones who while asking for "donations" become beggars and he becomes a minister of the Gospel. He has healed hundreds of thousands of sick people and we even can not read the Bible? He whom Faith Seminary gave a "Jump Start" few years back, tells us he did not need us? He was already gifted and we were and are cursed? He who cheated and tricked us claims to have done that in "good faith" and what we did or are doing is in "bad faith"? He claims that all we wanted was a few hundred "coins"? He has respect and we don't have any respect. We are running our institution on the fee that he paid for his basic theological degree and what he is reaping falls directly from heavens? And yet this gentleman has guts to challenge us in court. Let me tell all readers that today the Christianity is being en-cashed by these so-called faith healers. So-called "miracles" are nothing but tricks of these people. Very recently a famous "faith healer" conducted "Five Nights" healing "Crusade" and "Five Days" training of Pastors in Pakistan. It was claimed that demons were cast out, blinds got the sight, thousands of sick people were healed. Yet a very large number of sick people returned disappointed from this "Crusade"? One of the organizers, who was very sick before the "crusade" went back to hospital after the "Crusade". Why didn't he walk away with his cot? Why was he not healed? His faith is questioned but their fraud is hailed. 4,500 Pastors got "Five Days" training. Their certificates were signed in advance by a good number of people but the certificates are blank. (I have one that some one gave me as proof) Can some Christian educationist tell me how one can be trained for the same service in "Five Days" which Jesus Christ took three years Himself? Training His disciples day and night. Are they above Lord Jesus Christ? (Yes devil disciples can be trained in less than five seconds and they are being trained by these faith healers). In October 2001, I was visiting some friends in Rawalpindi Pakistan. There I met a Muslim lady who claimed to have been cured of her "cancer" by a faith healer. She told me that the person that cured her, prayed in the name of "Hazrat Essa" (Jesus Christ as Muslims call Him) and I was cured. I told her that she was not telling the truth. I told her if you had cancer and some one prayed in the name of Jesus Christ and you were cured, why didn't you believe in Him and accepted Him and the Christian faith? I told her that if she was right than why she is still Muslim and why she is calling Lord Jesus Christ by Islamic name i.e. "Hazrat Essa"? She had no answer. I must tell the readers that our faith in Lord Jesus Christ is no less than the people of West. We are not illiterate fools but properly educated people. In many ways our faith is stronger that their faith. If we ask for donation to serve His people, we are as good beggars as they are who openly demand money from stages and pulpits. We do ask and request to acknowledge the "jump start" that we give them like the gentleman I have mentioned earlier instead of telling us that they have bestowed honor on us and our institution by taking a degree from our institution. This is outright hypocrisy and being unthankful. I am disappointed so is the whole faculty of Faith Theological Seminary Gujranwala Pakistan that works hard to guide these thankless folks. We spend many hours in checking their work and correcting them and advising them, and once they are trained all they remember is the little fee that they pay. And worst of all they use illegal means to obtain higher degrees and when they are caught they show "Big Red" eyes to us. I wish they learn to respect those people who taught them and today they are able to gather the riches of this world. I wish they knew the Lord and I pray that they may know the Lord in whose name they earn their bread and butter and collect huge amount of money to serve and help His people. Yet they only help themselves. I render my apology if this article based on first hand experience and facts has hurt some "Faith Healer" but my apology must not be taken as a compromise on Christian faith that is distorted by so-called "mainline churches" and "faith healer" category of false prophets and teachers.
