Subaidath was a Muslim student of India. She was not having peace of mind. One day, she read a Christian tract in her dormitory. Lord Jesus Christ showed Himself to her, touched her with His nailed hands and spoke to her with mild voice, “Do not be worried and upset. Believe in God the Father and also in me; for I am the Prince of Peace. I have crucified, died and resurrected for you to give you peace and eternal life”.
She did not believe it first, for she was a staunch Muslim and also the daughter of an Islamic scholar and an Imam of a Mosque.
Once she was bringing water from a well. While she was bringing the water, she was fallen down at the well by accident. Well was so deep. But at the well, a Man carried her at His hands and she did not have any injuries. She felt like a baby carrying by its mother.
She recognized the Man as Jesus. Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me will live, even though they die; and those who live and believe in me will never die” Subaidath replied unto the Lord, “I believe in you Lord as my Savior”.
And she decided to become a Christian. And she expressed her decision to her family. Her parents and other family members did not like her decision. They advised her; they tortured her. But she was strong in her faith. Finally her father and brothers stripped and bound her to a chair fixed to a metal plate with which they wanted to electrocute her. She asked them to at least lay a Bible in her lap.
Her father responded “If you want to die together with your false religion, so be it.” One of her brothers added “That will show that your religion is powerless.”
Although they had bound her, she was able to touch a corner of the Bible. She felt a strange peace. Her father and brothers pushed the plug into the socket – and nothing happened. They tried four times with various cables, but it was as though the electricity refused to flow.
At last, her father, angry and frustrated, hit her and screamed “You are no longer my daughter.” Then he threw his daughter out into the street, with teared clothes, almost like naked. She ran through the streets, humiliated and in pain. Shaking and tearful, she ran to a christian friend. People looked at her, curious rather than shocked. Her friend let her in, clothed her properly and gave her shelter.
The next day, her friend asked neighbours what they had thought when they had seen Subaidath running almost naked through the streets. “What are you talking about?” they asked. “The girl had a wonderful white dress on. We asked ourselves why someone so beautifully clothed had to run through the streets.”
God had hidden her nakedness from their eyes, clothing her in a beautiful white dress. Today, she is active at the underground church of Paul Ciniraj Ministries..
Paul Ciniraj Ministries concentrate on evangelizing India and the third world nations for winning souls unto Jesus Christ through preaching, teaching and doing charitable works. And also forming underground churches for the converts who are facing persecutions from Islam, Hinduism and other religions.
They donate Bibles in all different languages and distribute the Scriptures to the sick, poor, needy and gentiles.
There is great hunger for the Word of God in India, which is the second largest in the world, just behind China, with 1.2 billion people. India has 16 major languages and hundreds of medium and small languages, though Hindi is the National language.
The Bible Society of India, publishes the Holy Bible in 65 languages in India and the New Testament in an additional 69 languages. Translations are ongoing in another 75 languages. In all of India there are only 2% Christians. India’s population is more than 1.2 Billion. Out of this 80% Hindus, 14% Muslims, 2% Christians and others are 6%. 98 out of 100 are unreached with the Gospel. It is their aim to donate Bibles, New Testaments and simple Gospels throughout India in many languages as much as they can. By this ministry, many Hindus and Muslims are experiencing the Salvation of Jesus Christ.
Missionaries and evangelists, and many believers are facing much persecutions against evangelizing India. But our Lord’s return is very near. So India and the third world need to be evangelized so fast. The harvest is plenty; but the laborers are few; prayer supporters are also even very less. Please have a thirst for these nations evangelization.
