The word PUSH stands for press on until some thing happens. I love this word very much, it gives me more courage and it strengthen me to move on quite free quently to speak and write about persecuted Christians in Pakistan.
In old testament in the book of Ecclesiastes chapter 11 verse 6 says that " sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let not your hand be idle, for you
don't know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will equally well."
Though I was writing about christian persecution in Pakistan but I was not pretty sure that what result will come out then I thought I should keep on writing not stop there will be a time something will happen.
Christian persecution in pakistan is not unknown or a very new thing for me but when I heard this terrible news that 16/18 innocent Christians shot to death in the church in Bahawalpur while they were worshiping the lord Jesus Christ. I was shocked, it was not only hard to believe that Christian persecution has risen to this peak in Pakistan that now they are being killed in the churches. For some time I tried to convince myself it must be a rumor but no soon it became a bitter reality and news spread like fire of jungle every where.
Rejected, deprived, disappointed, frightened and voiceless Christians of Pakistan who never go against their country even they are persecuted on large scale without stopping. They are paying a high price for their faith, that they are facing unbelievable and indescribable discrimination. They are suffering because they are Christian.
I have been Christian persecution in Pakistan and I never spared any moment that I did not advocate their case for justice. It is written in the book of Proverb chapter 31 verse 8 " speak for those who can not speak for themselves, for the rights of all who destitute."
I would draw your attention to the near past when Bishop of Rochester Rt Rev. Dr Michael Nazir Ali visited Pakistan and met Gen Pervez Musharraf, then Musharraf told him that christian are secured and save, there is no injustice and discrimination of any kind with them at all. At the same time a very horrible incident happened in Merriam Abad that a fourteen-year-old girl Nadia Naira was abducted for sharing her Christian faith with a number of her Muslim girl friends at school. Maqsud Ahmed and his extremist armed Muslim companions kidnapped her, she was raped and later on a certificate was delivered to her family saying that she had married Masque Ahmed. The
certificate implied that by virtue of her marriage, she had converted to Islam. However, Nadia is still bellow the legal age in Pakistan to get marries and changes her religion. It is fact not a false story, where is security and rights? For what about Musharraf expressed.
Universal declaration of human right article 5 says no one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman degrading treatment or punishment. Christian of Pakistan is tortured and degrading as in human way in any esecpt of life. On this huge human rights violation no government official take or responsibility. Article 7 says, all are equal before the law and entitled without any discrimination to equal protecting of the law. All are entitled to equal protecting against any discrimination in violation of this Declaration and against any incitement to such discrimination.
In Pakistan no body bother this human rights articles, discrimination and violation of this Declaration is on peak. Even Christian does not commit any kind of blasphemy but false cases are registered against them and they are in prisons waiting for justice behind the bars for nothing. Human article 18 states, every one has rights to freedom of thought conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief and freedom either alone or in community with other and in public or private to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.
Previous number of tragic incidents shows that there are alot of controversial laws against christian, blasphemy law, under this law may innocent Christians have been killed at the spot by using this law as weapon against Christians, may have left the country for sake of life, rest of them have been arrested, their lives have turned into hell. Ayub Masih is the most famous victim of this law of 295c. He is on final appeal, which is Supreme Court, if his appeal is turn down, he will be hanged without doing nothing.
Jesus said in Luke ch18 in a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor care about men. And there was a widow in that town that kept coming to him with this plea, grant me justice against my adversary. For some time he refused. Finally he said to himself, even though I don't fear God or care about men, but because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming.
In the same way we should not lose heart but must press on until some thing happen. I am sure there will be a time every one will get justice. Finally who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble hardship or PERSECUTION or famine or nakedness or danger or sword. Roman ch 8 verses 35.
