NPP session urge President of India to intervene to amend Act of Parliament 5th August, 2019 on J&K

New Delhi: October 27, 2019. (PCP) National Panthers Party held its two day session at Jammu, the winter capital of J&K urging the President of India, Mr. Ramnath Kovind to direct the Parliament to amend its Act relating to Article 370 dated 5th August, 2019 when Jammu & Kashmir has been under President’s Rule. The Act of Parliament has converted the statehood status of J&K thus demolishing the history of the State and ignoring the history of great warriors of Dogra Jammu who have founded the State and merged Kashmir with Jammu & Ladakh by 1846.

Prof. Bhim Singh said that the State of Jammu & Kashmir was invaded by Pakistan on 20th October, 1947 which was registered by the people of Kashmir who supported the Indian Army thus defeating the Pakistan forces at Shopian corner.

The Govt. of India filed a complaint before the United Nations and the Security Council under Resolution directed Pakistan to withdraw all its Army/Soldiers as well as civilians of Pakistan from Occupied areas of Jammu & Kashmir. The United Nations further directed that the Ruler/Maharaja of J&K shall take control of all J&K Territory before further action by the United Nations it also directed complete peace on the Line of Control.

Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party moved a resolution in Panthers Party session at Jammu today seeking intervention of the President of India to withdraw this sub - part of 5th August, 2019 Act of Parliament that  has passed a paragraph of the Act saying that Jammu & Kashmir shall be a Union Territory. It means Jammu & Kashmir which is under illegal occupation of Pakistan & China shall not be a part of the State of Jammu & Kashmir as it was when Jammu & Kashmir is a State. The claim of Jammu & Kashmir over half of its area occupied by Pakistan & China shall suffer badly. The Panthers Party in its resolution urged the President of India today on the 72nd Anniversary of State Accession with the Union of India which was finalized on 27th October, 1947 by the Governor General, Lord Mountbatten. The Parliament of India has not approved any resolution on the Accession of J&K with India when the Constitution of India was implemented on 26th January, 1950. The National Panthers party in its resolution this day demanded that character of the State cannot be converted into a Union Territory for the reasons to be understood by the Parliamentarians, the legal fraternity and the Parliament. It demanded that the President should convene and immediate meeting with the Advocate General of India and other expert on legal affairs and J&K’s present status before the Security Council.  It is a State and converting its status shall damage India’s interest before the United Nations as well as before all the friendly countries of the world.

The NPP session was presided by its Chairman, Shri Harsh Dev Singh.
