Foreigner diplomats can visit Kashmir but Indian politicians cannot

New Delhi: (PCP) Prof.Bhim Singh demanded that President of India, Mr. Ramnath Kovind should convene the meeting of at least one representative from each recognized national and regional party and seek their opinion about what needs to be done vis-à-vis Jammu and Kashmir so that democracy is restored with rule of law in the State of Jammu and Kashmir with its’ full statehood at the earliest. You do not need any foreigners to visit Kashmir to issue a certificate of clearance to the Union of India. Any how can the Govt. of India answer why European Union countries, Arab League and Islamic countries (except Bangladesh) are not visiting Kashmir?
Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party, Sr. Advocate of Supreme Court of India, who travelled around the world on motorcycle on peace mission and completed Post Graduation in Law fron London University has conveyed his concern to the President of India and the political parties about the situation under which citizens of India in Jammu and Kashmir, an integral part of the Union of India have been passing through since August 5, 2019. Hundreds of them stand detained under the illegal laws like Public Safety Act which has no legal validity after the President of India withdrew Article 35-A in the Constitution of India which was the only source of life to this unconstitutional and invalid Law in J&K.
Prof.Bhim Singh expressed another shock that Govt.of India has invited 16 envoys from foreign embassies, operating in New Delhi, the capital of India, to visit Kashmir to watch the situation prevailing in Kashmir. The NPP Supremo has in an urgent appeal to the President of India urged that Union of India should be directed to open Kashmir, a region in Jammu and Kashmir, for all Indian citizens first. The Union of India should release all those prisoners who have been detained for over five months in Kashmir under the draconian and illegal Law like Public Safety Act which became dead the day President of India withdrew Article 35-A. Article 35-A was the only source of legislative power of the J&K Legislative Assembly which was imposed by Presidential Order in May 1954 by the President of India. It’s life was six months only. It was no more valid and yet has been withdrawn/quashed by the President of India dated 05.08.2019. After the withdrawal/removal of Article 35-A the Public Safety Act has become dead and gone. It is surprising that hundreds of senior politicians, three former Chief Ministers of J&K, several former Ministers and Legislators continue to be locked under this illegal Law in the Kashmir jails. He questioned why Govt. of India which has invited foreigners to watch the snowfall and feel the pleasant winter snow should visit Kashmir. Why not to allow them to meet the political prisoners also in Kashmir which is the rare face of democracy in Jammu and Kashmir.
