20 districts in J&K deserve urgent attention of Lt. Guv Admn.


New Delhi: Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of J&K National Panthers Party held online discussion with 10 District Presidents-JKNPP and 10 District Presidents in Kashmir Valley on the situation the residents in each district were facing under Lockdown imposed by the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi since 24th March, 2020.

District President Baramulla, Abdul Ahad Najazar told Panthers Party Supremo that District Baramulla has neither waters supply, nor drinking water, nor even Electricity available since 5th August, 2019. He told that all educational institutions stand closed since then. So far as ration supply is concern, there is no ration available in ration shops except assurances that it is coming tomorrow, day after and that is all.

Abdul Rashid Ganie, District President Ganderbal informed Panthers Party Supremo that electricity is provided only for 6-hours whereas there is no ration available at the ration shops and whenever the poor people or labourer go for ration they are charged at full rates. No free ration to the labourers/workers or starving local residents. He said that the sitting Lok Sabha MP who was Chief Minister J&K three times has not visited the district since his release. He also expressed shock that Administration is not even providing ‘Curfew Passes’ to go to Srinagar to purchase any essential commodity. He said that the people are locked in their houses and there is no one to attend even those who are seriously sick or deserve urgent medical care.

NPP Supremo also had online meeting with Abdul Majeed, District President Kupwara, Hakim Arif Ali, District President Srinagar, Adv. Ishfaq Shah, District President Anantnag, Mohd. Shah Fayaz, District President Shopian, Mr. Nisar Ah. Wani, District President Kulgam, Mr. Najeer Khan, District President Bandipora, Mr. Yousaf Wani, District President Budgam and District President Pulwama, Mr. Mushtaq Ah. Shah. The Kashmir Valley District Presidents felt that Kashmir Valley has been passing through the most difficult times and there is no administration worth it. They said that all the educational institutions stand closed, no dispensary is having a doctor or medicines nor there is any doctor available in any dispensary or Primary Health Centre. It is because there is no communication or there is no vehicle available on the roads. All educational institutions stand closed.

The Provincial President, Mr. Farooq Ahmed Dar informed NPP Supremo online in the afternoon that the people cannot go to Srinagar to buy any essential commodity even if that is not available in the block level or in the villages. He said there has been no ration available at the ration shops nor even medicines in the dispensaries. The residents in the villages cannot purchase vegetables nor medicines because no shop is open and the people cannot visit Srinagar. He said even Srinagar stand closed as all government offices has remained closed since August 5th, 2019. He said that even he as Provincial President of the recognized political party, Panthers Party has not been provided a Curfew Pass inspite of his several calls to the Deputy Commissioner. He said no high official like Tehsildar or Deputy Commissioner can be seen or contacted by anybody for any problem in entire Kashmir Valley.

 NPP Supremo also spoke to Mr. Maqbool Malik, General Secretary-JKNPP who is also Chairman of Panchayat District Committee informed that three months ration promised to the residents of the Valley has not been delivered till date and the residents are facing acute problem which deserve to be attended by the administration. NPP Supremo also spoke to the State Vice President, Mr. Masood Andrabi in Srinagar who comes from District Pulwama, he urged the Lt. Governor to constitute District Level Committees in all 20-districts of Jammu & Kashmir with representatives from recognized political parties at least so that they can assist the District Administrator (Deputy Commissioner) to find reasonable, just and workable resolution of all problems from ration to power in the districts.

 Prof. Bhim Singh also spoke to some political activists from other political parties. All agree that the involvement of all political activists at the district level deserve to be involved without any failure or delay.

 The NPP Supremo assured the Panthers Party leaders in Kashmir Valley that he shall send their views to the President of India who is looking after the Jammu & Kashmir Administration which is under the President’s Rule at present.

 Prof. Bhim Singh informed all District Presidents in 10-districts to get ready to face similar questions on the situation which has arisen in Jammu Province also because of Lockdown and failure of the State Administration to interact with the people at the district level.
