NPP Supremo urges Sec-Gen, UNO for urgent intervention for withdrawal of WHO’s guideline for World Muslims on hand-rub

New Delhi:  Prof. Bhim Singh, Executive Chairman of World Peace Council (India) & Chief Patron of J&K National Panthers Party besides a Senior Advocate in the Supreme Court of India & Executive Chairman of State Legal Aid Committee has made a strong appeal to the Secretary-General UNO, Mr. Antonio Guterres for his urgent intervention for the immediate withdrawal of the instructions he has issued under the heading Encourage Healthy Hygiene in his advisory note dated 15th April, 2020 directing that,

“Muslims perform wudu before prayers, which helps maintain healthy hygiene. The following additional measures should be considered:

• Ensure that handwashing facilities are adequately equipped with soap and water and provide alcohol-based hand-rub (at least 70% alcohol) at the entrance to and inside mosques”.

Prof. Bhim Singh urged the Secretary-General of UNO to withdraw this advice because this cannot be accepted by a religion (Islam) as alcohol is totally forbidden in Islam. How Muslims of more than 56 countries of the world in the UNO who adhere to Islam shall accept such a advice which is totally against the teaching of Islam as alcohol is totally forbidden. The WHO should have made some other scientific suggestion acceptable to the people of the world. The NPP Supremo submitted to the Secretary-General UNO and the Members that the United Nations platform cannot be used to disrespect any religion prevalent in any part of the world. There are more than 56 Muslim countries (Members) of the United Nations whose integrity and religion must be respected by the UNO itself.

Prof. Bhim Singh, who passed LLM (Master of Laws) from London University in 1972 with International Law & Islamic Law of inheritance with Distinction, has also urged the Govt. of India to take this matter with the Secretary-General UNO and convey the most important message on behalf of the people of the world that UNO shall not interfere in the religious matters.
