Homage paid to Christian leader George Murad who passed away in Philadelphia USA. By Nazir S Bhatti

The Christians from Pakistan origin witnessed valuable leadership of Mr. George Murad on incidents of Christians. Victimization and oppression in Pakistan when he arranged protests and rallies against such cases in New York and Philadelphia. 

Mr. George Murad was born in Catholic Christian family in 1949 in Khushpur village in Faisalabad,  Pakistan. Later he moved with his family to chack number 270 in Layyia and completed his high. School from Government Mission School. He earned a diploma as an Electrician from Sargodha. 

Keeping in view his community. Services The Caritas Rawalpindi Dioceses appointed him as. Director and was given duties to serve in Afghan Refugees. Mr. George Murad moved to Saudi Arabia for better employment opportunities from where he moved to USA in 1999.

I had frequent meetings with Mr. George Murad and attended one rally in Philadelphia organized on persecution of Pakistani Christians under blasphemy laws. He was very courageous and able leader who’s services for community will be remember for years.

He went to eternal life on September 10, 2023, leaving behind a widow and two sons and one daughter. I pray for blessing in his life in Christ.
