Ref:- (i)- When USA has left UN member countries on their own why member countries should carry the flag of USA (through UN) (ii)- Once NHRC & SHRC closed down, India should redefine its relationship with UN, maybe by leaving it (iii)- UN not only unconcerned about global peace in globalized world (as about Ukraine) but also not solving military problems of India (iv)- India need not worry about dominant military power of some countries rather no harm in entering in alliance / even in suzerainty agreement (if necessary) with willing military power interested in rule based global order 

Even ink didn’t dry on the agreement between Ukraine and Russia  (brokered by the United Nations and Turkey in Istanbul to allow grain exports from Ukrainian Black Sea ports aimed at easing the global food crisis sparked by Ukraine war) that Russian missile struck Odessa port in Ukraine as reported at https://www.cnn.com/2022/07/23/europe/russia-ukraine-odesa-strike-grain-exports-intl/index.html . Though Russia is saying that it has struck military installations, nevertheless it seriously questions the rule-based global order of the US-sponsored UN, as mentioned below:-  

(1)- In the contemporary world it is not merely secular democracy which is sine-qua-non for the progress of the most powerful modern science & technology but rule-of-law is also essential. But the so-called leader of the free world, the USA, is incapable of leading such a global order. Now Russia is not satisfied merely with Donbas and wants more Ukrainian territory. On July 20 Russian foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov declared that Russia militarily will snatch more territories from Ukraine and said that "[geographical tasks will extend still further from the current line. Now the geography is different. it’s not just Donetsk and Luhansk, it’s Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and a number of other territories].” In response to it, the spokesperson of the US State Department Ned Price (while referring to February 24 when Russia entered Donbas region militarily to ‘liberate’ it as per the February 21 resolution of Russian Legislature) meaninglessly said that “[This war is nothing more than a war of territorial conquest. That’s what we warned about before February 24th; that is what we have consistently said ever since]”,as reported at 

https://www.turan.az/ext/news/2022/7/free/politics_news/en/7381.htm/001 . This Ukraine war has also extended tension between the West led by the USA and Russian ally China in the neighborhood of India, in the pacific about Taiwan. 

(2)- In the UN most of its 193 member countries can’t defend their territorial integrity if not protected and supported by the UN. For example today if India’s small neighbor Bhutan is invaded by what to talk of its neighbor China or India or Bangladesh but even by Nepal then can Bhutan defend itself on its own ? Would then also the USA / UN expect Bhutan to defend its territory the way the USA / UN is expecting Ukraine to defend its territory ( which even has a special case due to the ‘Budapest Memorandum’). But the USA /  UN expect small countries like Bhutan to survive with the help of the USA / UN whereas the USA and other NATO countries say that they need a separate defense mechanism though it is one of the main causes of the Ukraine war.  

(3)- The problems (like of Ukraine) can easily be solved if  the USA:- 

(i)- Remodels the UN for making it a rule based global body for participatory secular democracies where no member will have veto power but every member will have voting right commensurate with its contribution of men (including military), money, material (including military) and its record of human rights (including about secularism, democracy and freedom of religion including conversion out of free choice). 

(ii)-  Ensures that the UN takes responsibility for enforcing human rights (as enshrined in the ICCPR of the UN) all over the world by providing teeth to the UNHRC where the Optional Protocol OP-1 for ICCPR should be replaced by  Mandatory Protocol MP-1 where the UN will intervene (even militarily if necessary) in case of serious human rights violation in or by erring member countries of the UN.  

(4)- The UN has failed to solve two serious military problems of India also with Pakistan & China though these can easily solved by (i)- ‘Dual citizenship’ for about 160 million forcibly displaced Hindus / Sikhs and Muslims and their descendants because there was no provision of population transfer in ‘Indian Independence Act 1947’ and plebiscite in united J&K (mandated by IoA of J&K to India) and also plebiscite in Balochistan (who’s IoA was taken by Pakistan by military pressure despite  contrary resolution by its Parliament / Jirga) and (ii)- The UN Judicial commission for solving ‘Indo-China legal border dispute’ which is unlike ‘political Indo-Pak border dispute’. On the contrary the USA has unnecessarily dragged India into QUAD (about matters which are responsibility of the UN) and which has soured Indo-China relations  

(5)- The present system of the National and State Human Rights Commissions, the NHRC & SHRCs which are the symbols of UN global order are meaningless and they have failed India also.  The communalization (the result of India’s partition on the basis of religion) has poisoned Indian subcontinent to such an extent that what to talk of Pakistan & Bangladesh where Jihadi elements persecute Hindus even in India the Muslims are so scared that instead of filing  proper writ petitions in High Courts / Supreme Court for relief they prefer to suffer as mentioned at https://www.pakistanchristianpost.com/opinion-details/4020 . But what is worst the NHRC watches these gross violation of human rights of the people in India passively, though the NHRC is expected to intervene in the proceedings of the court (with court’s approval) in case of serious violations of human rights as per section section 2 (1) (f) and 12 (b) of the “Protection of Human Right Act”. 

(6)- To what extent NHRC & SHRC are severed from the basic interests of the people of India is evident from the fact that in disregard to ‘The United Nations Convention against Corruption’ Government of India (GOI) is not recovering about Rs 1,000 trillion Income Tax from about 1 million fake farmers (a discussed in Indian Parliament too in April 2016 as   https://english.newsnationtv.com/article/121125-news-nation-disclosure-on-blackmoney-kharabpati-farmers-take-agriculture-route-t.html  and https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/business/india-business/prominent-people-hiding-taxable-income-jaitley/articleshow/51408323.cms. ) though this huge State-capital can solve all the economic problems of India. Moreover most of the political parties do not file income tax returns and Election Commission of India (ECI) also doesn’t ensure it. But NHRC has never questioned the IT department and ECI though (in addition to lack of organizational elections in most of the political parties) it is the major obstacle in the path of the people in realizing their human rights (political rights as enshrined in ICCPR of the UN). 

(7)- Once these NHRC & SHRCs are closed (which are an unnecessary financial burden on the people of economically humble India) then India can redefine its relationship with the UN even to the extent of leaving the UN. This of course may pose serious military challenges for India. In this matter India need not be over sensitive and should know that every country can't at all times be sufficient / competitive military power hence it has some times to enter into military alliance or suzerainty agreement with dominant military power. It happened in my native State of Rajasthan also when it’s princely States entered into suzerainty agreement with the Mughal empire and then with the British empire. Therefore instead of remaining with the meaningless and even harmful global order of the US-sponsored UN, India should enter into an alliance (even suzerainty agreement if necessary) with some militarily powerful countries who are interested in rule based global order.

It is hoped India will not take the membership of the UN as given and inalienable especially when it’s sponsor the USA is not interested (or is incapable of hence not interested) in leading the rule based global order.
