Sialkot: In the struggle for the establishment of Pakistan, the Christians were the second largest political power after the Muslims along with
Islamabad March 26. Hundreds of Christians of Islamabad gathered and marched with the Cross, the symbol of peace to demand end war in Iraq.
The rally sponsored by Peace Education Foundation was led by the Foundation's chairman Shaikh Ehtasham-ul-Haq and convenor J.Salik former federal minister led the rally.
The cross is an emblem of Christianity. Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross. Since Jesus Christ is known as the Prince of Peace, the cross on which he was crucified has become a symbol of Peace and sacrifice for others. It does not brook atrocity, violence and war.
The cross borne by the demonstrators carried the following slogans:
Cross is the symbol of peace.
Christian world may uphold prince of peace.
British Christians look to prince of peace.
Prince of peace is anguished on war on Iraq.
Rise up against unjust war.
Practise message of prince of peace.
Revive prince of peace by establishing peace.

Be faithful to prince.

American Christians may resurrect prince of peace.

German Christians may listen to message of prince of peace.
Christians of Australia may heed prince of peace.
Christians of France follow prince of peace.
Christians of Europe may listen prince of peace.

The rally started from J.Salik's residence and ended at UN office.
