The painful questions to the world community: Inderias Bhatti, Peace Ambassador Pakistan

The incidents of mass minorities’ homicides in Shanti-Nagar, Sangla Hill, Bahmani-Walla, Korian, Gojra and Jati-Kay are more to do with a psyche and attitude where minorities and non-Muslim communities are thought to be lowly in status and civic rights by a small group of extremists who have overpowered in Pakistan. Along with this religious wave of extremism there is a wave of mutual vested interests of the politicians with Islamic militants which has fabricated in the post political era of Zia-Ul-Haq. Moreover there are common lots of poor Muslims who always are of a faith to seek religion, religious clergies and God for their socio-economic growth and status identities. They are deeply and protracted with painful histories of extreme violence, inter-group hatred, oppression, humiliation, profound political suspicion and the active involvement of other states. They are the ones who are of the psyche that Islam and its creeds is the only way to their respectful life with secured socio-economic worldly and divine resources. This consciousness either make one extremist or to be a tool of the extremists. This is the consciousness that has caused alienation in the community with generational and state entrenched oppressions, systemic discrimination and conscious subjugation. Added to it are the exclusion and general apathy for the community I personally think that intolerance and hatred brings social separation and exclusion which further lead to the dreams and demands of separate country like India and Pakistan. The social hatred and religious violence has sowed the seeds of social separation of the minorities from the mainstream. Is it leading to the demand of a separate country for minorities or a mass migration of the total Christians from Pakistan like the total migration of the Jews from Pakistan? What do you think is the solution? Is reconciliation and social rehabilitation possible? What can be the way forward for the freedom of minorities in Pakistan? With pain and desperation, Inderias Dominic Bhatti, Lahore, PAKISTAN
