PPP-SB Shutter downs in Sindh against the Murtaza’s murder verdict.

LARKANA: December 7, 2009. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) A complete shutter down strike was observed all over Sindh, on the call of Pakistan Peoples Party-Shaheed Bhutto and staged protest demonstration against the court decision of acquitting 18 accused of Mir Murtaza Bhutto’s murder. In Larkana, PPP-SB workers and leaders throughout Sindh districts held demonstrations and came down the streets and roads torched tires, and chanted slogans against the court verdict. All the petrol pumps, markets and bazaars, Shahi bazaar, Resham Gali, Buner Road, Royal road and other business places were remain closed, while the traffic was also thin at different cities. PPP-Shaheed Bhutto workers also pelted stones on several public and private vehicles, which results of smash of glasses, earlier the police security was thin during the protest of workers. Police was deployed at various places, while Market Police had registered the FIRs against 45 PPP-Shaheed Bhutto workers in Larkana a day before, but there is no arrest and other police action reported. On the occasion, PPP-SB leaders including Ghulam Rasool Umrani, Barkat Mirjat, Abdul Sattar Channa and others said that they will never bow before the present government and police cases but continue their struggle till the victory they said.
