LARKANA: February 6, 2010. Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) UK based Pakistan Human Rights Forum (HRF) Chairman Shahid Dastagir Khan has said on Saturday that feudal system and terrorism had pushed country to the isolation, while the downtrodden people in society is the most weak element and suffering human rights violation. Talking to the media men, he said as Pakistan a welfare state regarding the human development was not performing its role in safeguarding the child and women rights. There is need to reform in society, regarding the protection of rights of the common men he said. Shahid said due to the child rights and violation against women in the country had affected the image and due to the human rights Pakistan has so many international challenges economically and other aspects he said. He expressed concern over the selling of children by the parents due to the poverty and price hike in country. He also stated that the objective of his visit to Pakistan was to identify the need based and to play the role in Pakistan internationally. He said our core objectives to empower the downtrodden people of country and democratic strengthen in the country through the parliament, added that the Chief Justice should also take suo moto action in missing Pakistanis including Dr. Afia Siddiqui and Shazia and demanded the decisions should be according to the facts even the pressure of Advocate fraternity he said. The judiciary should play their impartial role and avoid targeted decisions against the government and political he said. Shahid Dastagir paid glowing tributes to the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and said that she was an international dynamic leader who rendered sacrifice for the revival of democracy and downtrodden people of country, her demise has created a big vacuum in the political arena. Later, he along with PPP leader and HRF focal person Mashooq Ali Jatoi, intellectual and educationist Jaam Jamali visited the Mazar of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and offered Fateha on the occasion.
