Karachi: May 31, 2010. (PCP) Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have demanded for resignations of Mr. Shahbaz Bhatti, Federal Minister for Minorities and Mr. Kamran Michael, Minister of Minorities in government of Punjab after broad day light attack on mosques of Ahmadi minority community in Lahore, killing 95 worshipers and injuring dozens by Islamic extremists. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC said in statement issued by Central Secretariat of PCC in Karachi that if there is least humanity in Mr. Shahbaz Bhatti, Federal Minister for Minorities, government of Pakistan, he must accept responsibility on failure of protection of life and property of Minorities after sad incident of Lahore massacre of Ahmadi community members and render his resignation immediately. “It is unfortunate that there is also another Catholic like Shahbaz Bhatti in Punjab Cabinet who also holds portfolio of Minority Ministry, Mr. Kamran Michael in government of Punjab but he has also ignored to take responsibility of attack on Ahmadi community members and not resigned” said Nazir Bhatti Nazir Bhatti said that suicide attack on worshipers in mosques of Ahmadi community members is very sad incident of history of Pakistan and failure of government of Pakistan and government of Punjab to ensure safety and security of minorities in Pakistan. Nazir Bhatti added “It was very fair if Shahbaz Bhatti and Kamran Michael have resigned after Muslim mob attack in Gojra where members of Christian minority were burnt alive and dozens homes were destroyed but it seems both of them are power hungry so-called leaders not human beings” In Punjab province of Pakistan where millions of Christians are living from centuries are denied right of son of soil after formation of Pakistan in 1947. Whenever, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz group comes in power in Pakistan, legislation against Christians is passed like blasphemy law and other Islamic laws and imposed on them. Now, when Pakistan Muslim League Nawz Group is ruling Punjab, hundreds of Christian homes have been attacked, enforcedly Christian women have been converted to Islam and gang raped, Christian teenage housemaids have been killed and women and children burnt alive. Whenever, Pakistan Peoples Party PPP comes in power Christians are being victimized and persecuted in Pakistan. PCC Chief said that PPP and PML(N) are not friendly toward Christians but after vote bank of Christians to rule in Pakistan. Nazir Bhatti announced that Shahbaz Bhatti and Kamran Michael must accept responsibility of failure to protect Minorities in Pakistan and resign unless a movement will be started against these opportunists leaders.
