GSTA and ASPTA rally against non provision of allowances

LARKANA: May 31, 2010. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) Government Secondary Teachers Association (GSTA) and All Sindh Primary Teachers Association (ASPTA) larkana chapter took out separate rallies and staged sit in against non provision of teaching allowance, time scale and other facilities here on Monday. Large number of teachers of GSTA and APSTA tool protest rallies from government Pilot Higher Secondary School Larkana and Dini Madarsa School, which marching through roads reached at Jinnah Bagh chowk where they staged joint sit in and blocked traffic for several hours. Addressing on the occasion, GSTA, ASPTA leaders including GM Abro, Syed Raza Ali Shah, Aslam Dedar, Anwar Bhutto, Muhammad Khan Gorar and others said that Sindh government is not taking keen interest resolving the issue of teachers. They demanded of President of Pakistan, Prime Minister of Pakistan, Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of matter and provide them time scale, teaching allowance and other facilities otherwise they would continue their protest. Meanwhile, National Organization of Postal Employees (NOPE) CBA Larkana chapter has demanded that due to the inflation and price hike the employees should given allowances and doubled their salaries in current budget 2010-2011. The Organization leaders including Zulfikar Magsi General Secretary, Abdul Shakoor Kalal, Imdad Ali Bhutto, Allah Dino Mugheri, Khaleel Jatoi, and others told media that the facilities and other benefits be given to the Postal employees after the removal of Ordinance 2000. They said the Central President NOPE CBA, Tahzeeb-ul-Hassan has written a detailed letter to the Director General Post regarding the illegal group activities and they should stop all the conspiracies made by them against the Postal employees they said. They have said that after the taken over the charge of Deputy Post Master General Sukkur region Shahid Iqbal, the system of the postal has smoothly working and developed on the occasion. They also demanded that the son quota must be given to the employees along with the bonus and other incentives should be announced.
