LARKANA: July 11, 2010. (Nazir Siyal) Journalists Community in Larkana Press Club strongly condemned the Punjab government on resolution passed against the print and electroinic media here on Saturday. A large number of media persons including senior Journalists Abdul Jabbar Baloch, Nazir Siyal, Naveed Larik, Mushtaq Tunio, Imtiaz Gorar, Munir Soomro, Murtaza, Younis Detho, Ahsan Ali, Nadeem Soomro, Taimore Ahmed and others also held demonstration against the Punjab Assembly members for rude behaviour against the Media persons. They said the controversial resolution will not be tolerated at any cost, so that the Punjab parliament should pardone on the situation and take responsibility of all deeds by them. They also demanded to withdrawl of resolution passed by the assembly in the Punjab parliamnent and respect the freedom of expression of media persons. Meanwhile, Khaksar Tehreek Larkana Chapter took out protest rally against the Punjab Assembly resolution against the print and electronic media. Khaksar Workers led by the President Khakdsar Tehreek Larkana Niaz Baloch, Pir Bux Abbasi and others observed took out demonstration and chanted slagans in favor of the print and elecronic media here on Sataurday. The workers demanded for the freedom of media and held protest demonstration infront the Press Club Larkana. Khaksar leaders said that all the dictators have made strong group to crush the independent media playing its role in the positive criticism to mould corrupt Assembly members. They said the will support media on their posstive role. Meanwhile, A large number of Magsi Community in Larkana, observed portest demonstration against the killings of 17 people in a tribal clash over the land dispute in the limits of Golo Daro Police Staion near Garhi Yaseen tehsil of Shikarpur district. Protest led by Zulfikar Magsi along with large number of people staged sit in Magsi hotel and took out protest to Nazar Muhalla and shouted slogans against the SHO Golo Daro Mir Hassan Jakhrani and demanded for the arrest and Justice on the occasion.
