After the convention I led the way on my motor bike to take Rev Kamran and his team to Faisalabad. Pervaiz Sohtra drove the Toyota Corolla LOF 1076, I was sitting on the front seat, Kashif, Akash and Jibran Rafiq were sitting on the back seat. At around 1:15am we reached the Narawala road by-pass,I was stopped by almost a dozen armed men, but I didn't stop, a gun shot was fired at me, but it missed and instead of going straight I turned right towards Sudhar by-pass and took the motor bike in the fields, .Rev Kamran asked him to increase the speed, the armed men shouted to stop and directly fired at the car, he saw from the rear view mirror that they are coming after us, he told everyone to stay down. All of a sudden the rear screen broke to pieces and the bullets went through the car. Pervaiz turned off the lights and took the car in the fields and turned off the engine as well, the attackers drove by near the road without noticing the fields. No one was injured, we were all safe. Pervaiz Sohtra dialed 15 for help, the patrolling police reached us around 1:55am and recorded the incident The Police escorted Rev Kamran and others in their broken car to Model Town, Faisalabad. It was an incident of target killing against the Christians. Pastor Naeem gave an application for FIR at the Ghulam MuhammadAbad Police Station, Faisalabad. ASI Shabir Muhammad took the application, but no FIR has been registered due to the pressure of the local Muslim groups.
