ISLAMABAD: September 9, 2010. (PCP) “Plans by a Pastor in Florida to burn copies of the Quran to mark the 9/ 11 anniversary is outrageous” said J. Salik, the ex Federal minister of Pakistan. J. Salik, Convener World Minorities Alliance in a statement issued here in Islamabad said that “civilized world must respect every religion, its sacred books, places of worship and symbols. Every human being has right to follow any religion, keep faith, practice its teachings or go to any place of worship. We have to give due respect to it and society has to protect these rights. He said that teachings of Bible do not allow any one to take revenge of any action by counter attacking on a book considered sacred by a religious community of 1.5 billion human beings." J salik further said that Pastor Terry Jones of the small, evangelical Dove World Outreach Center which espouses anti-Islam sentiments has announced that he would go ahead with plans to burn copies of Islam's holy book this weekend despite opposition from the Us Government, Churches from all over the world and others, which is shocking and hopeless attitude. We Christen community living in Pakistan strongly condemn this attitude and appeal to concern authorities to stop this man. J Salik appealed to all that Christians around the globe to come forward with a clear message "No one burn the Quran," and condemn the plans by Pastor Terry Jones of Florida.
