SPLA protest against transfer and posting in Sindh

LARKANA: October 6, 2010. (Nazir Siyal) All Sindh Professors and lecturers Association (SPLA) on Wednesday held massive protest rally against the transfers and postings of 417 academic positions by the Sindh Government. A large number of professors and lectures from District Larkana and Kamber-Shahdadkot took out protest rally from Degree College Larkana carrying banners and play cards marched on thorough fares of city roads, culminated at Press Club. They chanted slogans for the cancellation of forcefully transfers and postings of the academic staff on the occasion. On the occasion, the protest rally led by the Central President SPLA Professor Athar Hussain Mirza, Professor Muharam Kalhoro, Nazir Ahmed, Principal Ghulam Qadir Memon and Professors and lecturers including Syed Ghulam Asghar Shah, Ashiq Ali Gopang, Ibrahim Sahto, Nisar Ahmed Siyal and others were also present. While, the staff and students of Government Commerce College Larkana also protest demonstration and made responsible to the district administration for upsetting regular education process and damage of parks, walls, doors, windows of college due to massive presence of flood victims for watan cards. On third consecutive day large number of students led by Mehtab Akhtar, Zubair Ahmed, Zainul Abidin, Mujeeb Rehman Shaikh, Aurangzeb Megheri, Junaid Ahmed, Shahbaz Ali Abbasi, Abdul Haseeb and others reached at Press Club Larkana from their college via DCO Camp office, they submitted a joint application and appeal the concerned authorities for shifting NADRA watan card center to other suitable place. The students of Government Arts and Commerce College continue recorded their protest against the disruption of education process and damage of parks, windows, doors and walls of college due to established Center and massive flood victims presence for Watan cards. The students on the occasion has claimed that the District Administration intentionally destroying their Education in the name of national cause, while their bicycles, motorcycles and vehicles have been stolen and damaged due to the hundred and thousand flood affectees. They also said that the district administration is depriving from education, because there is no rule and discipline morality and good behaviour among the flood affectees in the Center and simultaneously they were fighting on the different issues with each other.
