Pakistani Christian Condemn Jamaat-e-Islami leaders comments on Pope Benedicts

Karachi: January 11, 2011. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have strongly condemned comments of Liaqat Baloch, JI leader to ask Holy Father Pope Benedict to apologize on his comments on blasphemy law in address to diplomats in Vatican City in which he asked government of Pakistan to repeal blasphemy laws. Nazir Bhatti said “Liaquat Baloch or Munawar Hassan are to little to comment on Holy Father Pope Benedict and to seek an apology from him” Jamaat-e-Islami is not worthy to be stakeholder of Pakistan because it was against formation of Pakistan while Christian through All India Christian Association voted for Pakistan in Round Table Conferences in London in 1930-32. “A military ruler Zia-ul-Haq made blasphemy law to prolong his rule and 18th Amendment have scratched all his Ordinances then why not blasphemy laws” said Nazir Bhatti Nazir Bhatti clarified that a clever Muslim dictator imposed blasphemy law and Muslim men as Justices of Federal Shariat Court introduced Section 295 C PPC and man made law can be revised or repealed that’s why Holy Father Pope have urged Pakistan to repeal it. There is no death sentence or life imprisonment on blasphemy law in any other Islamic state on globe but Islamic elements in Pakistan call it soul and spirit of Islam. “If any Christian tool of Jamaat-e-Islami JI, Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam Fazal group JUI(F) and other Islamic group issued any statement against comments of Holy Father Pope Benedict on blasphemy law weather he is a Pastor or Bishop of any Christian denomination in Pakistan, he will face social boycott of Christians in Pakistan” added Nazir Bhatti Nazir S Bhatti urged 20 million Pakistani Christians not to fear of Islamic leaders but to pray for Holy Father Pope Benedicts who’s fighting for our rights. Nazir Bhatti also condemned Egyptian government on calling back ambassador from Holy See on his concern on situation of Coptic Christians.
