Karachi: January 29, 2011. (PCP) Life is so unsafe for religious minorities in Pakistan that a high profile Hindu takes refuge in India and sends resignation from his membership in Sindh Assembly to speaker Nisar Khoro which he promptly accepts. Mr. Ram Singh Sodho, advocate, who was selected member of provincial assembly of Sindh in elections of 2008, on quota of Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid-e-Azam) on reserved seats for minorities, was receiving life threats from extremists groups from long time. Ram Singh Sodho, advocate, was a practicing lawyer from Dileep Nagar Mithi, Tharparker, Sindh. He was serving as member of Standing Committee on Public Health Engineering, Standing Committee on Minority Affairs and Standing Committee on Youth Affairs & Sports in Sindh Assembly. He was elected by Hindu votes under Separate Electorate as member of Sindh Assembly in 1985, national general elections and served as Advisor to Chief Minister of Sindh.
