Bangalore: March 2, 2011. (PCP) Dr. Sajan George, President of Global Council Of Indian Christians (GCIC) have condemns brutal assassination of Pakistan minorities Minister Shbhaz Bhatti. Pak Islamic militants have brutally killed the Christian Minister for opposing the draconian and biased blasphemy law. He said that GCIC is shocked that the private Pakistani TV channels showed pamphlets at the scene of the killing that were attributed to the Pakistani Taliban warning of the same fate for anyone opposing the blasphemy laws. Mr. Sajan said that Brother shbhaz Bhatti opposed the draconian Pak blasphemy law, which is often used to witch hunt simple Christans believed in Christ Jesus. GCIC appeal to the UN and the international community to suspend Pakistan from international bodies Gunmen shot and killed Pakistan's government minister for religious minorities on Wednesday, the latest attack on a high-profile Pakistani figure who had urged reforming harsh blasphemy laws that impose the death penalty for allegation of insulting Islam. Shahbaz Bhatti, a member of Muslim-majority Pakistan's Christian community, was on his way to work in Islamabad, when unknown gunmen riddled his car with bullets Earlier this year, Punjab province Governor Salman Taseer was killed by a bodyguard who said he was angry that the politician opposed the blasphemy laws. Pakistan's military shadow government and events like the assassination of Punjab governor Salman Taseer for opposing Pakistan's blasphemy laws — which suggest that Pakistan's radicals are gaining ground Taseer's killing terrified those in Pakistan who are secular-minded or liberal, but it also drew wide praise among many radicals It is with a sense of pity and empathy for these helpless and neglected Minority brethren, that we are approaching UN, OIC and EU, with a fond hope in our hearts that these organizations, would use their good offices to prevail upon our leaders in Pakistan that this burning issue must be addressed
