Karachi: March 29, 2011. (PCP) Pakistan Christian Congress PCC Central Council expressed satisfaction on appointment of Dr. Paul Bhatti as Advisor to Prime Minister of Pakistan on Minority Affairs after assassination of Martyr Shahbaz Bhatti. PCC Central Council clarified that Pakistan Christian Congress have always condemned selection on Christian reserved seats for minorities in parliament and have demanded election under Dual Voting rights but keeping in view great sacrifice of Shahbaz Bhatti, the demand of PCC to nominate any family member on vacant seat of Shahbaz Bhatti is just. Shahbaz Bhatti, Federal Minister for Minorities, was gunned down by Talaban of Punjab on March 2, 2011, in capital Islamabad on his stance to revise blasphemy laws in Pakistan. Dr. Paul Bhatti is brother of Martyr Shahbaz Bhatti and President of Pakistan appointed him Advisor to PM for Minority Affairs last week. Dr.Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC said here in a statement that we will not allow any one to defile sacrifice of Martyr Shahbaz Bhatti weather it is government of Pakistan or any other element in Pakistan. Nazir Bhatti condemned media reports in which assassination of Shahbaz Bhatti was compared with daily target killings in Karachi and appointment of Dr. Paul Bhatti was challenged. “We always criticized ill policies of Shahbaz Bhatti which were dictated to him by leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party PPP but PCC always demanded election for minorities instead of Selection” said Nazir Bhatti
