Pakistan: Bullet sprayed on Pastor’s family on refusal to convert to Islam

Lahore: May 2, 2011. (PCP) Muslim extremists sprayed volley of bullets on vehicle of Pastor Ashraf Paul when he was returning home with his family on April 27, 2011. Son of Pastor Paul who was rushed to Mayo Hospital Lahore after bullet wounds was declared in stable condition today but still was directed to stay in observation ward. According to reports received by Sohail Gill, a Human Right Activist in Lahore, Pastor Ashraf Paul and his wife Rubina Paul who run an NGO Hope Fellowship here in Lahore were coming from Bank but when they reached in the street No 01 of Hamza Town near their home two boys about 25, 24 years of age on motorcycle overtake their car and opened the fire on Pastor and his wife along with his elder Son Sarfraz Paul who was driving the car. The Islamic militants fired three bullets on Pastor but all of three were missed and the Pastor and his Wife remain safe, but Their son Sarfraz Paul received four bullet in his jaw, arms and hip he was seriously injured. Sarfraz Paul was rushed to the MAYO Hospital in the middle of the city where bullets were removed. Now by doctors Sarfraz Paul is out of the danger, but they took him under observations yet. Pastor Ashraf Paul has received threat calls and letter before this incident for converting to Islam or pay money. The FIR of shooting on Christian Pastor and his family was lodged in Nishter Colony Police Station Lahore but no arrest have been reported till filing this story.
