PHILADELPHIA: May 9, 2011. (PCP) A Mormon church on Sunday offered prayers for a man who was killed in Balochistan. The Church of the Latter-Day saints, also called Mormons, held prayers Sunday for Imtiaz Baloch, a cousin of former Pakistan Peoples Party leader Mohamad Ali Baloch and son of late Senator Malik Baloch. He was gunned down outside his home in Panjgur on December 27, 2010. The day Imtiaz Baloch was killed marked the third anniversary of the killing of former premier Benazir Bhutto at the hands of the so-called Pakistani Taliban. Pakistan army generals are supposed to have played a key role in Bhutto's killing. Mohamad Ali Baloch is a member of the Mormon church, which is led by Leh Mounelasy. The church comprises whites, blacks and refugees from multiple countries including Cambodia, Vietnam and Pakistan. Mohamad Ali Baloch's nephew Obaidullah Baloch, 24, was allegedly forcibly disappeared by the Pakistani intelligence services in Panjgur and his body was found last summer. Pakistan has extra judicially killed more than 150 Baloch activists by first forcibly disappearing them, torturing them in Pakistani Gestapos and then throwing their dead bodies in desolate places. Mohamad Ali Baloch says he was himself threatened by the thuggish Muttahida Qaumi Mahaz, allied with the Pakistan military, and he fled to U.S. safety.
