Labour Leader condemns selling of SWM, CDGL and CDA Islamabad

Islamabad: May 13, 2011. (PCP) Zahoor Awan, Regional General Secretary , Pakistan Workers Federation strongly condemned the cheap act of the government of privatizing Christian sanitary workers of the solid waste management dept. of CDGL, Lahore and CDA Islamabad. While a telephonic conversation with Mr.J.Salik Convener World Minorities Alliance and Former Federal Minister, Mr.Zahoor Awan expressed his solidarity to the workers he said, the 60 unions of districts Islamabad , Rawalpindi , Attock, Jhelum , Chakwal will launch protest movements against the government for this act. He regretted this decision because most of Christian hard workers will be effected by it therefore it is the responsibility of our Federation to protect the rights of our Christian hard workers. Mr. Zahoor Awan and Former Minister, J.Salik demanded from Waseem Ajmal Chaudry, MD solid waste management co. and the Prime Minister to take back there decision otherwise the Federation will begin to launch there protest programs.
