Karachi: May 20, 2011. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have strongly condemned attack of Pakistan High Commission staff on Wilson Chowdhry, leader of British Pakistani Christian Association, in premises of Commission building when he was called for presentation to seek visa to visit Pakistan for his wife which was facing delaying tactics in Counsel Section. Mr. Chowdhry was struggling for weeks to seek visa for her wife who intended to meet her family in Pakistan but Pakistan High Commission was reluctant to issue visa on campaign of her husband Wilson Chowdhry against blasphemy law in Pakistan According to information revealed to Pakistan Christian Post, the Pakistan High Commission security gourds who were Pakistani nationals assaulted Mr. Wilson Chowdhry and punched him down on raising voice against delay in visa to her wife and children after weeks of appointments. The Security guards locked Mr. Chowdhry in a room of Pakistan High Commission and tortured him. Instead of brutal attack on Mr. Wilson, the High Commission officials alleged Mr. Wilson to assault visa section lady officer and called London police to arrest him. The assault case was later dropped by Pakistan High Commission when Mr. Wilson urged London Police to seek CCTV evidence to prove High Commission allegations. Dr. Bhatti said “Its shameful for High Commissioner of Pakistan High Commission in London on such treatment with a Christian leader who is from Pakistani origin and struggling for equal right of Pakistani Christians” “Wajid Shamslu Hassan must tender apology to Mr. Wilson Chowdhry on inhuman behavior of Pakistan High Commission, unless Pakistan Christian Congress PCC will campaign with British government and Commonwealth to declare him as racist person and expel from UK” added Dr. Bhatti Nazir Bhatti said that Pakistani Missions in Europe and North America have engaged some tools from Pakistani Christian Diasporas as agents to spy on Pakistani Christian movements in Western countries which raise voice for equal rights of Pakistani Christians and have set policy to deny renewals of their passports and issuance of visas to their families to visit Pakistan.
