PDCC to file petition to repeal blasphemy laws

Holland: May 28, 2011. (PCP) Pak Dutch Christian Community (PDCC) has decided to file a petition to the European Union Parliament on June 15 to repeal or amend Blasphemy in Pakistan. According to the information’s, in a recent meeting, Central Committee of PDCC comprises upon, Gulbaz Fazal, Johnson William, Nadeem K. Din, Parvez Iqbal and Watson Gill has unanimously agreed to file this petition through this Central Committee as a delegation of PDCC. In this petition, EU Parliament will be requested to force Government of Pakistan for immediate repeal of Blasphemy Laws and if this is not possible by the GOP to repeal Blasphemy Laws, than with involvement and agreement with the Minority Leader necessary amendments be made in these concocted laws, false cases against innocent Christians in Pakistan be withdrawn and Christian men and women detained since long time in baseless cases be released with all assurance of protection of their lives, respect, and properties and crystal guide lines be issued to stop misuse of this laws to assure safe and peaceful life of Christian in Pakistan with all legal rights. Central Committee has also unanimously agreed that Watson Gill, will lead Central Committee for EU affairs only. Mr. Nadeem K. Din has also choosen to look after financial affairs of the Central committee with all positive hopes according to their skills and experience. Both Watson Gill and Nadeem K. Din, thanked Central Committee for their trust on them and assured their full co-operation and efforts to stand with our country fellows in this time of troubles.
