NOG,s in Sindh are violating labour laws and involved in Corruption

LARKANA: July 27, 2011. (Nazir Siyal) A complete violation against the labour laws and violation with employees in agreements have been committed by the several national and international Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs), while a huge corruption in different programs witnessed. According to the sources, national and international Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) are involved in a huge corruption and misappropriation in millions of funds used in the Health/nutrition, Education, Wash, distribution and other several programs in Larkana, Qamber-Shahdadkot, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Dadu, Sukkur and other parts of country. While, NGOs violation against the employment agreement and labour laws are also confirmed with the several employees, during working mostly women facing threats and harassment by the NGO focal persons, Managers/supervisors told an employee working with International Medical Corps (IMC) and others. He told that the several organizations among IMC is also violating human rights/labour rights, anti-human development and holistic working approach in the flood affected areas. Regardless of serving humanity in the flood affected areas, working against the proposal and objectives in the flood affect areas which are far and away at BHUs, RHCs not in flood stricken areas. Due to mismanagement and corruption by inexperienced managers and supervisors have been forced to perform illegal activities of harassment of workers, violation of employment agreement, anti-labour and anti-human rights policies witnessed
