Islamabad: September 28, 2011. (PCP) We would like to welcome Mr. Mohammad Ajeeb Khan (Former Lord Mayor of Bradford –U.K) on his arrival on 29 September 2011 in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, strongly appreciate his ideology regarding the rights of Minorities in all over the world. In his recent message to the convener of World Minority Alliance Mr. J.Salik he has shared his ideas that ‘’Unfortunately in other societies where democracy has not been allowed to be developed and practiced and all other freedoms have been denied to their people for a long period of time the consequences are earth shaking changes like political and social instability, violence, religious extremism and even chaos and anarchy’’ ‘’Their basic human rights are being blatantly violated by the majorities. Often minorities face discrimination, intimidation, torture, arbitrary arrests and even persecution. In several regions of the world the minority communities are excluded from taking part in civic and political life; hence their marginalization has forced them to live in isolation” I sincerely appreciate for the time that he will spend with us to reviewing our ideas and dreams and recommending strategies for achieving them and looking forward for building of healthy relationship for years to come as the pattern ship of World Minority Alliance. Again accept my warmest and heartiest welcome from the core of our hearts.
