LARKANA: October 7, 2011. (By Nazir Siyal) Vice Chairman Sindh National Front (SNF) Ameer Buksh Bhutto has expressed apprehensions regarding the preparation of fake votes in constituency of P.S-37, said in his letter sent to Election Commission of Pakistan the Chief Election Commissioner on 3 October 2011. In a continuation of letter, it has been brought in notice that high ranking persons of the ruling party, including the President’s sister, MNA Faryal Talpur and the Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro, who was elected MPA from said constituency in 2008 have been pressurizing the education department staff who were carrying out the process of verification of new electoral rolls to enter fake and duplicate votes in P.S-37 constituency to benefit them in future elections he said. He said as such, they have already initiated the process of rigging and if allowed to have their way, all expectations of a free and fair election will be dashed even at this early stage. He further disclosed that the following are a few examples of entries of fake votes made at their insistence in Taluka Ratodero 366 fake votes have been entered, while in villages Nabi Bux Brohi and Allah Bux Brohi in Deh Wassayo Bhutto of Union Council Waris Dino Machi also. Upon the close scrutiny by SNF party workers, it was also revealed that not only these entries fake but even said villages are fake as no villages exists in these area by those names, another 551 fake votes have been entered in village Khatin-jo-Daro in Deh Saidudero, Union Council Saidudero. Also 420 votes from Union Council Behman have been added in duplicate to electoral rolls in village Panjoo Lorer, Deh Panju Lorir of Union Council Lashari he told. Son of Mumtaz Bhutto further told that many other illegal and fake entries have also been identified by the party workers done by the education department staff. He demanded to bring knowledge for appropriate action to ensure fairness and transparency in future.
