SSS demands protection for Journalists

LARKANA: November 28, 2011. (Nazir Siyal) Sindh Sahafi Sangat SSS Larkana chapter condemned the targeting media persons during performance of their duties, especially indiscriminate firing and injured Ahsan Kohati of Waqt News tv reporter in Karachi. Media men, in a meeting demanded to the government to protect journalists and punish the culprits, they sprayed bullets on the performing newsmen in Karachi. SJS representatives in a meeting said that the government should provide all necessary health cover to the injured journalist Ahsan Kohati and further protect the media men, while they are performing their duties. Larkana Journalists including President SSS Nazir Siyal, Imtiaz Ali Gorar, Sarwer Ali Gadhi, Qazi Aijaz, Waheed Ali, Asif and others were present in a meeting. Meanwhile, collection of 434 letters of Hazrat Mohammad (P.B.U.H) in a book which was compiled by local youth Ghulam Rasool Memon, inauguration ceremony of letters, book was held at Abdul Latif Nizamani Labor hall Larkana. On the occasion, General Secretary JUI Sindh Senator Dr. Khalid Mehmood Soomro, Mufti Mohammad Idress Sindhi, Molana Abdul Shaheed Nomani, Professor Israr Ahmed Ulevi, Molana Iqbal Ahmed Soomro and others lauded efforts of Ghulam Rasool Memon for great job to compile 434 letters written by Hazrat Mohammad (P.B.U.H) in 322 Hijre.
