Religious minorities not safe in Pakistan

LARKANA: December 2, 2011. (Nazir Siyal) General Hindu Panchayat Larkana chapter took out rally to provide protection to the minority community in Sindh districts here on Friday. The rally led by Dr. Dharampal, Professor Vijay Kumar, Murlidhar, Parmanond Khatwani and others, the rally started from Dharamshala marched on Royal road reached at press club. Speakers of Hindu community leaders said minority people are not safe in Sindh so that they need a protection from police and government, they said the increasing incidents of killing, robberies, kidnapping, extortion in Larkana and other parts of Sindh have made the life of minority community people in a miserable, while doing the business and several other problems have been created as well uncertainty among the Hindu traders they said.. On the occasion, they strongly condemned the US NATO attacks on Pakistani military check post and martyrdom of 24 soldiers, they said minority community stand with Pakistani government and Pak Army in any difficult situation. They appealed present government to arrest the killers of doctors in chak incident and protect the lives and property of Hindu community in Sindh and ensure the recovery of kidnapped two Hindu girls of district Thatta and other kidnapped doctors in Larkana also. Meanwhile, Suni Tarheek (ST) Larkana chapter arranged a condolence reference and held Quran Khuwani for Esal-e-Swab of 24 martyred military Jawans hit by the NATO helicopters. On the occasion, large number of ST leaders and workers participated in Quran Khuwani offered Dua for the peace of martyred soldiers. Provincial leaders of ST speaking on the occasion said that US is big enemy of Islam and Pakistan, attack of NATO forces is considered as attack on sovereignty of Pakistan. He demanded of present rulers to end all relations including diplomatic and bilateral ties with US. On the occasion, district convener ST Abdul Rashid Sangi, Imran Attari, Haji Babu Khuhawar, Haji Roshan Unar and others were present.
