Hindu celebrate eve of Cheti Chand in Sindh

LARKANA: March 25, 2012. (Nazir Siyal) Hindu Panchait Committee Larkana celebrated a new year at Dharam Shala. The day is called Cheti Chand, which also used to be a hundred years old and new Sindhi year greetings to all, with the commitment that in upcoming New Year by Hindu or old Sindhi people. The office bearers of Hindu Panchait Committee Larkana arranged a special program, while especial celebrations with reference of the celebration with the Jhooley Lal, a saint at Tando Adam, district Sanghar (near the shrine of Bhittai). Jhooley Lal is a saint that is equally claimed by Sindhi Muslims and Hindus. The Hindu considers him Hindu and Muslim consider him Muslim, which is one of the places in Sindh, where a mosque and a temple exist under one roof and people to pray there. Meanwhile, Sindh Minister for Law and Prisons Muhammad Ayaz Soomro has visited the House of Nazeer Siyal Senior Journalist of English news media and offered fateha on sad demise of his Mother. He prayed to Al mighty Allah to rest departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to grieved family to bear irreparable loss. On the occasion, he announced jobs and financial support for the deprived journalists will be assured he said.
