SHEIKHUPURA, Pakistan: A 25-year-old Christian man remains in critical condition after being shot during a violent altercation in a
LARKANA: March 30, 2012. (Nazir Siyal) Two women were killed under Karo Kari (Honor Killing) here in Ratodero city on Friday.
According to the reports, an 18 year young lady Nadia Jalbani was killed by his relative under Karo Kari in Bappar Muhalla of Ratodero city, while another woman Shehnaz Jalbani (42) also found dead from her house in Bhutta Wandh Ratodero city on Friday morning.
The sources told that woman was killed by husband Madad Ali Jalbani in an illicit relation.
The Police shifted the body of deceased Shehnaz to the hospital for postmortem and handed over to heirs and started investigation.
Meanwhile, Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMC-H) Larkana staff nurses along with Nursing School Larkana boycotted of all units, blocks and emergencies and held protest demonstration here on Wednesday.
A large number of male and female staff took out rally from the Civil Hospital Larkana to Press Club and staged sit-in as well as chanted slogans for acceptance of their demands.
They demanded the service structure, award of risk/special allowances, time scales and promotions; they also demanded rights equal to other provinces’ nursing staff and deplored the government attitude for treating nursing staff step-motherly.
The protesting nurses led by Musawar Iqbal, Salomi John, Samina Samson, Firdous Chandio, Sultan Soomro, Rubina Shabnam, Siddique Mugheri, Aslam Memonand and others.
It is pertinenet to be mentioned here that due to boycott of paramedical staff and concerened medical professionals, the indoor patients especially females and child patients of 1350-bed capacity Chandka Hospital seriously suffing. The majority patients were trunred to the private hospitals in Larkana.
