MPA Saleem Khokhar receives death threats on supporting Rinkle Kumari

Karachi: April 20, 2012. (PCP) Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar Member of Provincial Assembly Sindh who had been actively involved in well-being and welfare of religious minorities communities in Pakistan and endeavoring for their rights through All Pakistan Minorities Alliance being a Member of Central Executive Committee of APMA and President of Sindh Chapter. On 18-04-2012 after the proceedings in the Supreme Court pertaining to Hind Minority Community girls namely Rinkle Kumari and two others where he was present in the apex court Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar expressed his views pertaining and he came out to Karachi and received a threatening text message on cell phone on which he had no option but to seek protection, he had moved an application and lodge a report with PS Clifton South. He expressed deep concern that he had been receiving such messages and phone calls in the recent past for supporting the religious minorities in Pakistan. It is pertinent to mentioned that in the recent past Mr. Shahbaz Bhatti Chairman APMA and Ex Federal Minister with whom he was closely associated and work for the cause of minorities rights in Pakistan was brutally assassinated and Pastor Jameel Sawan who was also close aid and advisor of Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar was also brutally murdered by unknown extremists which is on record.
