SHEIKHUPURA, Pakistan: A 25-year-old Christian man remains in critical condition after being shot during a violent altercation in a
LARKANA: April 20, 2012. (Nazir Siyal) Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) announced province-wide wheel jam and shutter down strike on Saturday against the substandard and obscure postmortem report of Late Nationalist JSQM leader Bashir Khan Qureshi.
On the occasion, JSQM workers and leaders in every city and towns of the districts of Sindh took out rallies to distribute handbills and appealed all the civil society, business community and transport services to shut their business and routine activities to support the JSQM call against fake and fabricated reports of death.
While, several other Nationalist groups and political parties among Pakistan Muslim League and others supported the JSQM call for the strike on Saturday (today).
Meanwhile, Khaksar Tehreek Larkana chapter observed hunger strike and protest demonstration against price hike, load shedding, poverty, lawlessness, corruption, unemployment terrorism, killing of innocent people in Karachi here before the Press Club.
Khaksar activists chanted slogans for the rights of people and held responsible to the present rulers for the increasing miseries of nation.
They said the corrupt ministries have looted the wealth of country within four years in the name of democracy, but the poor people are crying in the inflation, poverty and several other issues.
Khaksar activists also marched on roads against the failures of rulers and saluted the Siachen martyrs and welcome Gen. Kiani’s decision for the removal of Army deployment by the Pakistan and India and said such a big amount could be spent on development.
On the occasion, Khaksar Tehreek Chief Dr. Sabiha Al-Mashriqi also held condolence meeting and Quran Khawani for the departed souls of Pak-Army martyrs of Giari Sectors those who sacrificed their lives for the protection of country under the deep ice-slides in Siachen.
Speaking on the occasion, Khaksar woman leader said Khaksar Tehreek salutes the brave soldiers and recalled the nation and its leaders that they also raise their spirit and ready to sacrifice and devote their properties, time and money for the sake of Pakistan.
She said the country is facing numerous challenges of load shedding, inflation, poverty, price hike, corruption, target killings, lawlessness and several other issues.
She said there is need to take strict and solid decisions for the resolution of the crises in country and government should take serious initiate in this regard and present positive and constructive policies for the strengthening the country economy.
Khaksar leaders among Nazm-e-Alla Sindh, Azm-e-Hyder, District president Niaz Baloch, Khaksar Mazdoor Federation (KMF) Sindh leader Mohammed Uris Shaikh, Aveem Tariq and others also spoke on the occasion.
