SHEIKHUPURA, Pakistan: A 25-year-old Christian man remains in critical condition after being shot during a violent altercation in a
LARKANA: July 20, 2012. (Nazir Siyal) A local NGO representatives and citizens have condemned the attack of criminals on the volunteers and social workers working against the social evils and religious extremism.
Secretary General Riaz Hussain and others told media men that they were sitting at their local NGO office as routine, two unidentified armed men attack and aerial firing on them but they were survived and later, the attackers fled away.
Sahkar Social Welfare Association Larkana (SSWAL) members told that their NGO works against the social issues and religious extremism, so that provoking the activities and attacked on them.
Later, they reached police station but the police did not registered FIR against the criminals they told.
They have appealed the higher authorities that the police helping criminals but never supporting law abiding citizens and refused to register complain against the criminals they said.
Meanwhile, a large number of residents of village Fatehpur District Larkana observed protest and token hunger strike against the non-provision of development schemes and jobs here in front of Larkana Press Club on Friday.
On the occasion, protesting villagers were carrying the banners and placards inscribed slogans against the elected representatives on ignoring their villages from various development schemes and other facilities.
While talking to media men Haji Ali Akbar Mirbahar, Zubair Ahmed Jagirani, Assadullah Kumbhar, Karamullah Memon and others alleged that concerned MNA has provided several development schemes and jobs to their favorites in deferent villages while the village Fatehpur has been neglected by MNA and MPA.
They added educated youth of this village are unemployed and facing the starvation and poverty, but elected MNA is making them hollow promises.
They appealed to President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, and MNA Faryal Talpur to take notice of matter and resolve their problems.
