Islamabad: July 22, 2012. (PCP) It is learned through reliable sources that government of Pakistan is planning to hold a Seminar on July 25, 2012, in Islamabad, under National Harmony Ministry to stage a public drama to prolong Selection system in National Assembly of Pakistan and Provincial Assemblies on reserved seats for minorities. According to sources close to Pakistan Christian Post in establishment, the higher class of Hindus, Business Tycoons from tiny Parsi community, Sikhs and some Bishops will participate in said seminar called by government to speak in favor of Selections on reserved seats for minorities in parliament to adopt a resolution which will enable to prolong Selection system in a Bill of increment in seats before approval in cabinet meeting and later for legislation in National Assembly. The said Seminar will also approve word “Non-Muslim” instead of “Minorities” in forthcoming Bill of increment in reserved seats to declassify distribution of reserved seats among Christians, Hindus, Ahmadiyyia and other religious minorities in Pakistan to empower Muslim political parties to sell reserved seats to higher bidders. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC warned government to stop playing such drama with support of some power hungry so-called Christian leaders and wealthy Hindu, Sikhs and Parsi individuals to introduce word “Non-Muslims” and prolong “Selection” through a Bill in increments in reserved seats for minorities in parliament. “Christians are number one minority in Pakistan who have always condemned Selection system which is undemocratic and have demanded Election on reserved seats through their votes” said Nazir Bhatti Nazir Bhatti has appealed to Christian Social, Religious and Political organization to reach Islamabad on July 25, 2012, to participate in this Seminar and to raise voice for Election not Selection.
