Protests on Anti-Islam film in Pakistan

LARKANA: September 14, 2012. (Nazir Siyal) Country wide angry protesters of Jamait-e-Islami (JI) and Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen (MWM) held protest demonstrations against an anti-Islam film and condemned US for blasphemous of film on Prophet Muahmmed (PBUH). Enraged demonstrators chanted anti-American and Israel slogans in a protest against a film mocking Islam, they set fires and burned the U.S. flag and effigies. JI Ameer Kashif and other leaders led the protests over an American film ridiculing the Prophet Muhammad and condemned the film conspiracy that has sparked an outcry in the country. While, MWM Secretary General Tariq Badvi and D. Secretary General Abid Hussain Mangi led their protest and rejected any kind of assault or insult against the prophet, which the film trailer posted to YouTube that purportedly attacks Islam’s prophet they said. The protest rallies took out from different destinations and reached at Pakistan Chowk Bunder road and Jinah Bagh Chowk and spoke high about the issue. Protesters blocked main road for several hours and suspended the traffic during the protest and burnt the tyres.
